Rep. Barney Frank doesn’t seem like he’d be much fun to hang with, but he is absolutely hysterical in debates. In this clip from Real Time with Bill Maher, Frank calls gay Republicans out for hypocrisy. While claiming to be advancing LGBT equality within the GOP, the GayReps are voting for, contributing money to and generally enabling those who demonize the LGBT community. I have met a few GayReps, some of whom had me fantasizing in a bipartisan way. If you are going to be more concerned about protecting your socioeconomic status, be upfront about it and don’t claim that you are some how helping gay people in the process.
