A Question for Mitt Romney
August 17, 2007
Now that the CNN/YouTube Republican presidential debate is on again, I have a question for Mitt Romney. I realize that Romney has not agreed to participate in the debate, but I am hopeful that he will want to take questions from American voters.
Mr. Romney, if its okay for your five sons to decide not to serve their country through military service, why is it not okay for openly gay and lesbian Americans to decide to serve in the military?

Great question. I really hope they air it. I have a feeling that they’re going to try and be “accommodating”, only taking the shallowest of questions.

I am hoping that LGBT people will flood YouTube with lots of questions. The Democrats got questions about LGBT civil rights and so should the Republicans.

I agree, it’s a great question and I hope it airs.
Another question might be:
“Does the sexual orientation of your sons play a part in their decision not to serve?”
