She’s a good Letterman guest, just as I imagine she would make a fine guest on Howard Stern, but I still can’t stand her and have no intention of voting for her.

But if she is the Democratic nominee, what are you going to do? She is still better than any of the 10 angry white men composing the Republican candidates.

This is a problem for many of us on the left. Those of us who are genuine liberals and progressives.
Hillary by her own voting record and policy positions:
1. Voted for the Iraq war
2. Voted for the USA Patriot Act
3. Voted to reauthorize the USA Patriot Act
4. Voted against the Feinstein-Leahy amendment restricting U.S. exports of cluster bombs to countries that use them against civilian-populated areas
5. Opposes the international treaty to ban land mines
6. Opposing the enforcement of U.N. Security Council resolutions challenging Pakistan, Israel and India’s nuclear weapons programs
7. Opposes gay marriage and the repeal of DOMA, instead she says only Article 3 of DOMA should be repealed
Hillary Clinton has a hawkish, conservative essence struggling to get out and in many ways, she’s the very definition of GOP-lite.
The question becomes, is she really so different from her Republican challengers? Many say no. Many people on the left won’t vote for her under any circumstances, instead saying they may sit out the 2008 election and not vote.
