Servicemembers United and is partnering with the Human Rights Campaign, Log Cabin Republicans, Servicemembers Legal Defense Network and the Liberty Education Forum on three days of events to honor the 12,000 Americans who have been kicked out of the military for being gay or lesbian under Don’t Ask, Don’t Tell.

Servicemembers United is a new group that will launch officially on November 30 which is also the anniversary of DADT. The group was founded by gay and straight vets of the Iraq and Afghanistan wars who wanted to organize more formally to pursue a more aggressive and strategic approach to DADT activism.
