Huckabee Called Homosexuality a Sin

Anti-gay Mike Huckabee who leads the Republican presidential candidates in Iowa and South Carolina has said that homosexuality is a sin.
Former Arkansas Gov. Mike Huckabee, surging in Iowa polls in the Republican presidential race, wrote on a questionnaire while running for U.S. Senate in 1992 that homosexuality is “aberrant” and “sinful.”
“I feel homosexuality is an aberrant, unnatural, and sinful lifestyle, and we now know it can pose a dangerous public health risk,” Huckabee wrote in the questionnaire for The Associated Press, which reported the answer on Saturday.
Huckabee also believes that gay marriage will destroy civilization and that HIV+ people should be quarantined.
He may be putting up the front now of being a sunny positive counterpoint to the more obviously pandering Mitt Romney and Rudy Guliani, but make no mistake. Huckabee is the candidate that the right-wing extremists have been waiting for.

I for one feel that religious fundamentalism is an aberrant, unnatural, and definitely unhealthy lifestyle. It poses a dangerous public health risk — after all, conservative fundamentalists are sworn opponents of standard, necessary medical practices like abortion and contraception.
