Mike Huckabee Equates Homosexuality with Bestiality

January 17, 2008

Mike Huckabee thinks that being gay is akin to bestiality. How very Rick Santorum of him.

QUESTIONER: Is it your goal to bring the Constitution into strict conformity with the Bible? Some people would consider that a kind of dangerous undertaking, particularly given the variety of biblical interpretations.

HUCKABEE: Well, I don’t think that’s a radical view to say we’re going to affirm marriage. I think the radical view is to say that we’re going to change the definition of marriage so that it can mean two men, two women, a man and three women, a man and a child, a man and animal. Again, once we change the definition, the door is open to change it again. I think the radical position is to make a change in what’s been historic.

Huckabee made the statement in an interview with Beliefnet.com as he clarified his belief that the Constitution should be amended to be brought in line with God’s will.

He has a slight point given the nature of people, If you give them an inch then people will take a mile, and there will be some guy in the Ozarks doing ‘Do you take this Sheep’ as the beginning of his nuptuals….

but I really don’t think that the Govt should be involved with who peole want to marry, as long as every party is consenting adults, I think that is the true meaning of the law. Even God is pro-choice(s).

I don’t know if I agree with the practice of homosexuality and it is obvious Huckabee and I share that and that alone, but who are we to tell people who they can love as it relates to the LAW, “because the Bible says so.”

People want to be representated by the law. And that is a fair request, the same taxes are taken out of everybody’s paychecks, so why not.

Right-wing conservatives have a nice way of saying that my partner and I (we are a legally married gay couple in Massachusetts) who own a home, pay taxes, contibute to the economy, work in human services (education and medicine), belong to a church, work in a local mission, and support our friends and families don’t deserve the respect that we have worked for. However, the 13 year-old mothers that live off of welfare in our city (which we pay for) can get legally married in this country and get the support of people like Huck. Hard work means nothing to these candidates, just your ability to mirror their lives. God bless America.
